Community guidelines (v0.1)

These rules keep NGN Community useful and safer for everyone. They are not legal advice. A local lawyer should review final terms for Nigeria.

1. What this forum is

A place to discuss Nigeria-focused FX, P2P/crypto experiences, and related topics. It complements tools on ngn.lol. We are not a bank, exchange, or escrow provider.

2. No financial or legal advice

Posts are opinions and experiences. Do your own research. Nothing here is an offer to buy/sell securities or to provide regulated financial services.

3. Scam alerts & naming names

Scam-pattern reports help others, but false accusations hurt people and can carry legal risk.

• Evidence: Prefer verifiable facts (order IDs with sensitive digits redacted, timestamps, platform names). Screenshots should be described; avoid posting others’ private data.
• Corrections: If you are named and believe a post is wrong, contact moderators with evidence; we may request edits or removals per policy.
• No doxxing: No home addresses, private phone numbers, or documents that identify non-public individuals beyond what is needed for a good-faith dispute summary.

4. No organising offline meets or “guaranteed” deals

Do not use the forum to arrange in-person cash handoffs, “trusted middlemen” outside licensed venues, or promises of guaranteed returns. We do not coordinate or insure offline settlement.

5. P2P & third parties

Settlement happens on exchanges and payment apps—not on this forum. Do not post payment details that enable theft or social engineering. No public “DM me to trade” spam.

6. Manipulation & spam

Fake rates, sockpuppet upvotes, or automated flooding may lead to removal and bans. “Leaderboards” or reputation features (if added) will include abuse checks (e.g. rate limits, IP/device signals).

7. Language

English is the default for moderation clarity. Pidgin or mixed posts are welcome where they fit the board; keep titles readable for search.

8. Moderation

Staff may remove content, lock threads, or suspend accounts for violations or legal risk. First-time posters in sensitive boards may be queued for review when that feature is enabled.
